New “Nature” Range by Compac

July 28, 2011

COMPAC has recently extended its Nature range of quartz surfaces from two colours to seven. The new designs were well received both at KBB London and at the special launch event at the Lakeside Continental Hotel.

All are available now from stock in both 20 mm and 30 mm depth. Nature uses a vegetable based resin developed by Compac, BIO, to bind together grains of quartz and other minerals, plus colouring agents, into a flexible and adaptable surface that can be used both for flooring and worktops.

As well as being sustainably sourced, the inclusion of BIO adds definite benefits during the fabricating and installing processes. These key features arise from the fact that in Nature, there are no pore spaces From the end user’s perspective, this means no opportunity for water penetration, and no hiding place for germs and bacteria, a concern in any kitchen.

With all its ranges, Compac has the confidence to offer the end user a lifetime guarantee: this confidence is further enhanced with the Nature range. It is highly resistant to the levels of UV radiation common in Compac’s home country, Spain, and therefore will not age from sunlight when installed in the UK! Nature is also unaltered by the action of acid from food and common cleaning products. The design of Nature is very organic, and operates in three dimensions.

The blending of two or more colours results in patterns which are consistent throughout the manufacturing run, but with details that are always unique: no two areas of any particular worktop will be completely identical. The pattern also flows through the depth of the product (as exposed at the edges). These features are a bonus for those targeting the bespoke market, and reflect the inspiration behind the range: Nature itself.

At KBB and at the launch event, Compac added Perlino and Imperial, along with marble-like Carrara, mid-brown Noce and white-on-black Portoro to the existing colours, Botticino in cream and dark Pierre Bleue. The designs were very well received.

UK general manager, Toni Lleó, commented: “We have been delighted by the very positive reception our Nature Collection has received both at KBB and at the Lakeside venue. “From architects and interior designers to kitchen showroom managers and fabricators, everyone has been impressed with the new colours, their performance characteristics and the fact that the worksurfaces are so environmentally friendly.” Marketing executive, Emma Shaw, added that Compac is offering a free coffee machine between now and the end of December to any end user who purchases at least 5 linear metres, and any showroom which sets up a permanent display.
